COMPLIANCE AUDITOR
Ochsner Medical Center, located along the banks of the Mississippi
River in scenic New Orleans, is one of the South's most distinguished
academic medical institutions. It is part of the Ochsner Health
System which is a comprehensive network of over 24 regional
clinics, a 478-bed acute care hospital, the Richard Freeman
Research Institute and the inpatient Elmwood Medical Center.
Ochsner is currently seeking a Compliance Auditor as described
below:
Duties:
Performs compliance and operational audits for Ochsner Health
System and its subsidiaries with focus on accuracy of billing
and coding. Educates and assists Ochsner employees and management
in understanding and applying rules and regulations to improve
internal controls. Demonostrates actions consistent with Ochsner's
"Service Principles" as duties are performed on
a daily basis. Audits include, but are not limited to: conducting
and documenting interviews, performing and documenting audit
test work, analyzing and presenting oral and written conclusions
to department and organization management.
Required
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Healthcare
Reimbursement/Operations or related field; 1 or more years
audit experience in healthcare audit, compliance or operations;
MBA/MHA or other higher education preferred; CPC, CPC-H, CCS,
CSS-P, CHC, RHIA, RHIT or related certification.
