HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT MANAGER

Ochsner Medical Center, located in New Orleans, is currently seeking a Health Information Management Manager to be responsible for the administration and management of daily activities of the hospital HIM Department including quality improvement processes. Supervises and mentors HIM Supervisory staff and Team Leaders. Assists with the development and implementation of HIM departmental and system wide goals. Participates and leads several HIM committees and work-groups in conjunction with the physician chairman and HIM management staff. Coordinates and oversees HIM JCAHO and regulatory agencies activities.

Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Health Information
> Management Program with credentials of a Registered Health Information
> Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Information Technician (RHIT); 3 - 5
> yrs management experience in a hospital HIM department with electronic
> medical record experience; strong professional and interpersonal skills;
> ability to multi-task, adjust to changing situations and exercise good
> judgment; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong
> management and human resource skills.
